TheTexanscurrently field a pretty dynamic and hopefully dominant duo of safeties in second year playerJustin Reidand the newly acquiredTashaun Gipson. Both guys are extremely versatile and exceptional players but in today’s NFL, you need at least three starting caliber safeties.
So, if theHouston Texanschoose to target another safety on day two, they should fixate their eyes on the athletic marvel and highly talented Juan Thornhill. Thornhill blew scouts away at the combine with his athleticism, 4.42 40 and 44″ vertical, at the combine.
He was also a good, talented, versatile player at Virginia Tech where he spent time at both safety and corner. He has great size and length and plays hard on every snap like every target is coming his way. He also has great ball skills which is always a plus in a safety.

TheHouston Texansstill have work to do in order to continue to build a contender. If they target these guys, they would fill needs and help build that contender. Who do you want to see them grab on day two?
