The Houston Astros 2019 season kicks off TODAY! They boast a very talented, consisting of guys very likely to take home hardware at the end of the season. Let’s take a look.

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over! It was a dichotomy of a wait, both long and short. It seems not all that long ago the Houston Astros hearts were broken in a devastating five game series loss to the eventual World Series champion Boston Red Sox. At the same time, the offseason could not have progressed faster. But, at long last, baseball is here.

But, today the Astros are back on the diamond for Opening Day. They’re taking the field against the Rays in the first of a four game series that will inevitably be a tone-setter for the season for the pride of H-town.

For the first tilt, Justin Verlander will take the mound against the man that narrowly hedged him out of his second career Cy Young, Blake Snell. It will be a beautiful game of wonderful pitching that will come down to bullpens, offensive determination, and grit.

Must Read. Two things to monitor in the opening series. light

Ultimately, I expect the Houston Astros to come out on top because they’re, once again, favorites to get to the World Series after a franchise-best record season record of 130-59 in spite of several injuries to several key players.

This Astros’ roster is completely stacked from top to bottom. Nits have to be majorly picked in order to find many faults in this team. There are several guys that should be able to contend for postseason hardware when the final chapter of the 2019 season is closed. But, let’s take a look at the best cases on the team at the season’s inception.
