Houston Astros Rumors: Issues to solve, outlook strong in Spring Training
Overall Team Grade: B+
Regardless of small sample size, the Houston Astros are looking incredibly well 12 Games in. A lot can change from now until opening day. Frankly, it’s to be expected. But we can also expect that this team will still be competitive for years to come.
Yes, the Astros are without the likes of Brian McCann, Charlie Morton, Dallas Keuchel, Marwin Gonzalez and Evan Gattis among others. All five of those guys were essential to the team getting its first ever championship. Looking at the list makes any Astros fan choke up at the very thought of not seeing these names on the roster anymore.

Still, games must go on. That is precisely what this Houston Astros team is doing. Even though the chemistry is not the exact same as in 2017, the spacemen will find ways to make solid chemistry with this new group of young players coming up through the ranks. Not to mention, plenty of veteran presence still exists with this ball club.
Honestly, Opening Day cannot come soon enough! This team looks primed and ready to thrust itself back into full contention for the 2019 World Series championship trophy. The road along the way will be tough, no doubt. The team still has to go through the A’s and Mike Trout in the division and the Yankees, Red Sox, and Indians, amongst others, in the American League.
However, this team appears to be well on it’s way to figuring out any final internal problems they’ll have to go through in the final weeks of Spring Training leading up to Opening Day now less than one month away on April 5th at Minute Maid Park.
Spring Training is always a fun and interesting time. The Houston Astros are no exemption to this. The players always enjoy getting back together and the team has some intriguing decisions to make. So, ladies and gentlemen, be sure to keep track of the team over the next month!
