Houston Texans Rumors: Complete seven-round Mock Draft 1.0

The new league year is about a month away and the NFL draft is about two months out. So, it’s time for our first 7-round Mock Draft for the Houston Texans.
Though the Houston Texans technically entered into their 2019 offseason after their playoff loss in the Wild Card round tot he Colts, we are now officially into draft and rumor season. The new league year is a month away and the draft is about two months away so, it’s time for some mock drafts.
In 2018, the Texans, now former, general manager Rick Smith stepped away from the game in order to spend more time with his wife and kids. His was battling cancer and has since passed away, may she rest in peace. The Texans replaced Smith with former front office member Brian Gaine.
Gaine had some salary cap to work with in his first year and made some wise moves, like the addition of Tyrann Mathieu, and others that didn’t quite pan out, like Aaron Colvin. Unfortunately, Gaine didn’t have much to work with in terms of draft capital.

The Houston Texans were without a first round pick and a second round pick because they opted to fix the quarterback position in 2017, essentially swapped a first and second round pick and Brock Osweiler for Deshaun Watson. A wise move if I do say so myself.
The first pick of the 2018 draft for the Texans drafted Justin Reid. This year, the team will have three picks (1 first and 2 seconds) before where they drafted Reid. They have seven picks overall scattered through five rounds. Let’s take a look at who they might draft.
