Houston Texans: Top 30 players in franchise history

Okay, he technically wasn’t the only first Pro Bowler, as defensive lineman Gary Walker also made the Pro Bowl that season. Regardless, Aaron Glenn was one of the first members of the Texans to make a Pro Bowl, but not many remember Walker.
Glenn was a stud at Texas A&M before making his way to the pros as a first-round draft pick in 1994. He had eight phenomenal seasons with the New York Jets before the Texans selected to come home to Houston in the expansion draft.
Even though Glenn’s tenure was short in Houston, his impact was phenomenal. He had 11 interceptions including two that were returned for touchdowns. His Pro Bowl season in 2002 was by far his best. That being said, his 2004 season was also very good.
Glenn provided a star presence on defense for an expansion team that quickly needed to create an identity and culture. He was a great veteran leader as well that really set the tone for the Texans to become a defense force for years to come.
