Houston Texans: Top 30 players in franchise history

Arian Foster had some injury-plagued seasons in college at the University of Tennessee. These concerns forced him out of draft considerations. The Texans signed him as an undrafted free agent after the 2009 NFL Draft.
An injury to Ben Tate forced the Texans to play Foster. That was about the best possible case for the Texans in retrospect, with all due respect to Tate. Foster took over in 2009 and showed the Texans and the NFL that he should have been drafted and that he deserved a starting job in the league.
Foster’s first season starting full-time in 2010 was an incredible one that earned him All-Pro honors. He rushed for 1,616 yards and 16 touchdowns, which average out to 101 yards and a touchdown a game. All of those were league highs.
Foster’s career became plagued by injuries his last couple of years in Houston, but he was still an incredible, dynamic back when healthy. He could do it all, as he was an excellent runner with tremendous vision and cuts. He was also a good blocker and a terrific pass catcher out of the backfield.
Foster rushed for 6,472 yards on 1,454 carries, good for a 4.5 yards per rush. He also added 249 receptions for 2,268 yards. He had 54 rushing touchdowns and 14 receiving. Foster was a stud. Now, he has efforts in social activism and is making rap records under the pseudonym Bobby Feeno, which are really good by the way.
