CB. (2011-Present). Johnathan Joseph. 10. player. 10.

The Texans aren’t a team that is known for going out and getting marquee, top-end free agents. But, there is no doubt in my mind that Johnathan Joseph is the best free agent the team has ever signed.

Joseph was living the dream coming off his rookie deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a standout, lockdown corner that was worth his weight in salt and he was about to get paid. The Texans needed just that. They went out and inked Joseph. He has been their No. 1 cornerback ever since.

Even as he has lost a step in the past couple of years, he has evolved his game to stay relevant and effective. He, like several other guys on this list, is a free agent heading into this offseason, so it’ll be interesting to see what the team decides to do with him.

During his eight years (so far) as a Texan, he has been phenomenal. He has 16 interceptions, including four returned for touchdowns, 105 passes defended, five fumbles forced, three fumbles recovered and 431 total tackles.
