Yet another member of the vaunted 2006 NFL Draft class, Owen Daniels is one of the best pass catchers to ever grace the field in Houston. He is, without a doubt, the best tight end to ever play football as a Texan and second place isn’t anywhere close.

The fourth-round pick out of Wisconsin was consistently a reliable weapon for the Texans and one of the better tight ends in the league for a better part of a decade. Daniels was a solid blocker with sure hands and great route-running ability.

His rookie year was a mixed bag. He wasn’t handed the keys to the offense, but did well in the red zone, collecting his second-highest touchdown total of five in his career. After that, he wrote his own history.

Daniels was released after the 2013 season and ended his time in a Texans uniform with 4,617 receiving yards, which is good for third in team history. He also brought in 29 total touchdowns. Daniels spent the final two years of his career following Gary Kubiak to the Baltimore Ravens and then to the Denver Broncos.
