This team dwelt in the bottom three teams for the first quarter of the season and now they’ve gone 11-1 in the past twelve games to rise to 4th in the West.
James Hardenhas, somehow, elevated his game to an entirely new level that we’ve haven’t seen from him and really the NBA hasn’t seen too often. He is doing things onlyMichael JordanandKobe Bryanthas done with his streak of 35+ points in a game is ridiculous.
Over the past five games, Harden is averaging 42.8 points per game, 9.4 assists, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.4 threes made. Kobe, MJ,LeBron James,Stephen Curry, andKevin Duranthave only put that stat linetwice,combined. That’s unreal.
The crazy thing about this winning streak is that a lot of it has happened withChris PaulandEric Gordonin street clothes on the bench. This team is depleted and Harden is surrounded by a less than ideal cast of characters. It’s time for theHouston Rocketsto capitalize on this streak and make a splash trade.
