Houston Texans: Three players key to stopping the Colts offense
By T.A. Mock
Kareem Jackson, CB
Finally, the last member of this important trio is Kareem Jackson. He’s been as nearly as important of a chess piece as Clowney has this season. The Houston Texans lacked safety depth to start the season so, Jackson was moved there. When nearly all of the cornerbacks were banged up, Jackson was moved back to corner.

He is a selfless player whose versatility is prized on this defense. Even in his 9th season, Jackson remains one of the better athletes and one of the faster guys at the cornerback position for this team. It’ll take an army to slow Hilton who has a great and long history of feasting at NRG Stadium but Jackson should be at the helm of that army.
He has been one of the most consistent and reliable defenders along with Johnathan Joseph at corner but Joseph is older and slower which makes Jackson the obvious choice to keep up with Hilton all afternoon on Saturday.
Hilton can’t be stopped, especially at a place like NRG where he plays so well. Jackson sports Houston’s best chance at slowing Hilton. Hilton absolutely needs to be slowed if the Texans are going to come away with the win. If Jackson plays at a high level, the Texans’ chances of winning go way up.
The entire Houston Texans defense is going to need to play at a high level in order for the team to advance to the second round of the playoffs. However, these three guys are going to be the most important.
