The Houston Texans had four players selected for the 2019 Pro Bowl, but three other Texans should have received further consideration for the Pro Bowl.

The Houston Texans have managed to stay healthy and produce an excellent season so far. After starting the season 0-3, they rattled off nine wins in a row and are currently 10-5. This is simply an incredible feat, truly unlike any other the NFL has ever seen.

A first-round bye is also potentially in play as they are one game ahead of the New England Patriots for the second seed in the AFC. The Patriots hold a potential tiebreaker over the Texans after beating them 27-20 in Week 1 in Foxborough.

There have been some excellent performers this season, and the Texans were already rewarded with four Pro Bowl bids. DeAndre Hopkins, J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney, and Benardrick McKinney have all been invited to take part in the festivities on January 27th in Orlando.

light. Must Read. The Texans are facing more than the Eagles this week

These four guys above are all very deserving. Hopkins has cemented himself in the highest tier of receivers and has a case for the best one in the league right now. J.J. has had a phenomenal bounce-back season after two years full of injuries. Clowney has now been elected to three straight Pro Bowls. Lastly, McKinney is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Despite getting four nods, I believe that a trio of Houston Texans deserved more recognition. Kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn, defensive back Kareem Jackson, and safety Tyrann Mathieu should have received the initial invite to Orlando. Mathieu and Jackson were recently selected as alternates, but they have still been slighted.

Let’s take a look at why these three guys should have been selected for the Pro Bowl.
