Houston Rockets Rumors: Five wings to trade for who can improve the team

Joe Harris, SG, Brooklyn Nets
Now you want to talk about a guy that can knock down threes better than nearly anyone else in the NBA? Joe Harris from Brooklyn is that guy. He’s a career 40% shooter from three but he’s somehow been even better this year, converting 44% of the time so far.
Harris spent the first two years of his career in Cleveland’s basement, unable to prove his worth to LeBron James‘ teams. They traded him to the Magic who subsequently released them. The Nets picked him up that offseason and the rest has been history.
Harris was primarily a role player off of the bench for the Nets his first two seasons with them. He provided an excellent offensive boost in 20+ minutes per game during those two seasons. When they resigned him this year, he became a starter for them, starting all 22 games he’s played in.
Harris, like Holiday, is not known for his defensive chops. However, Harris holds up better on the defensive end because he is a bigger player. He’s able to stand up to hard, aggressive drives into the paint and also fight through screens along the perimeter.
Harris would come in and be one of the first players off of the bench with his scoring and three point prowess. Harris is also good enough on defense that he wouldn’t be played off the court at the end of the game if the team wanted to keep his shooting out there.
He’s set to receive $8 million total this year and the Houston Rockets would be on the hook for about 2/3 of that. The money is tricky here as well and they would likely need to package multiple players to get that portion of the deal right but with Brooklyn floundering, they could want some picks so, he should be gettable.
