Danuel House, SF/SG

Danuel House is pretty new to the team this year as he was signed only a few days ago. However, he is not new to the organization. House spent the summer with the Houston Rockets summer league squad but wasn’t able to land a contract with the team.

He spent training camp with the Warriors but wasn’t able to earn a contract with them either. He then rejoined the Rockets organization with their G-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He was averaging over 20 points a game and nearly six rebounds and two steals so far this season with the Vipers. House is also a career 38% three-point shooter in the G-League.

After splitting his collegiate career at the University of Houston and Texas A&M, House is still an extremely raw player that has a ton of untapped athleticism. But, he could be just what the Rockets need right now.

More. Three reasons why Gary Clark should get the start. light

House is capable of scoring in bunches from beyond the arc. He also possesses tremendous length and can lock down opponents on the wing. This is exactly the type of player the Rockets are desiring in a trade, a three and d wing.

Of course, House isn’t exactly that player right now but if he’s able to play some significant minutes with this team there is no reason to think he couldn’t develop into that guy. House has played an average of 26 minutes this past two games which is great for his development but his shots haven’t started to fall quite yet.

If House can start converting as he did in the G-League, he could carve out quite the role with this Houston Rockets team that is desperate for quality minutes off of the bench. His three and d capabilities would be a tremendous boost to this team.
