Houston Texans: Three factors to dismantling the Titans on MNF

An efficient, effective passing attack will make it game over
Deshaun Watson set the NFL world on fire during his rookie season last year. Unfortunately, his debut season only lasted seven games before he lost the remainder of the season to a torn ACL. Fortunately, his rehab went well and he was able to make it back by week one of this season.
His first few games back in action didn’t go as well as many expected. It was thought that he would immediately jump back to where he left off last year but there was a lot of rust to shake off. However, all of that is gone and he has the confidence and swagger of a true gunslinger and it’s showing, the good and the bad.
Watson’s mentality is that every time he steps on the field he is the best player on the field and he can make any throw he wants. That confidence is wonderful but it sometimes leads to mistakes and turnovers in key situations. But, it also can lead to clutch throws and drives that are the staple of elite teams.

Both were on display against Washington last week. He had a pair of interceptions that set the Houston Texans behind the eight ball. He also had an amazing pitch and catch to DeAndre Hopkins for a touchdown that could be on highlight reels for years to come.
The Titans have invested a lot of money in their secondary and have a lot of big names. In two consecutive offseasons, they’ve brought in Logan Ryan and Malcolm Butler to go with Kevin Byard. Ryan and Byard have had pretty good seasons while Butler has struggled. But, all three are still formidable players who are capable of capitalizing on mistakes.
The Texans will need DeAndre Hopkins to continue his elite ways while having Keke Coutee, Jordan Thomas, and Demaryius Thomas step up in complementary roles. If these three can execute in the passing game, there shouldn’t be any reason why the Texans can’t come away with the victory.
The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans are always must-watch football as this has turned into quite the rivalry. This is a must-win game for the Texans as they look to further lock up the AFC South this week.
