The Houston Texans have their second matchup with the Titans this week, this time it’s on Monday night. Here are three factors the team will need to dismantle their rivals.

The Houston Texans have turned out to be quite the enigma this season. They started off as a complete disaster, especially after the significant offseason hype they received. A 0-3 start was something no one imagined would happen after they started the year healthy. A recovery from a 0-3 start was something no one could imagine.

However, the Texans did exactly that. They recovered from the 0-3 start in a miraculous way by ripping off seven victories in a row. They joined the 1925 Giants as the only other team to go from 0-3 to 7-3. This week against the Titans, the Texans will look to be the only team to go from 0-3 to 8-3.

The Texans biggest rival right now really seems to be the Titans. This rivalry has deep roots for the fans as the Titans took away the beloved Oilers and professional football from Houston. On top of that, there is a lot of recent history between these two teams from Andre Johnson vs. Courtland Finnegan to JJ Watt vs. Zach Mettenberger, these two teams love to get after it.

They’ll face off this week on prime time football on Monday night in Houston to round out their two matchups for the season. The game will be aired on ESPN with kick off coming at 7:15 PM CT. If you’re unable to catch in on TV, you can tune in on 610 AM SportsTalk Radio and 100.3 FM The Bull.

The Titans, despite last weeks thrashing from the Colts, have been playing good football led by a great defense. They’re seemingly fighting for the last Wild Card spot in the AFC and a win this Sunday would go a long way to securing that. If they take down the Texans again, they could even have a shot at the division.

The Houston Texans, on the other hand, are really in a must-win game in spite of their seven-game win streak. Losing to the Titans for the second time could be dangerous to their division title hopes. Winning on Monday night could essentially lock up the division for the Texans. So, let’s take a look at three factors for the Texans to dismantle the Titans.
