No loss is ever easy. But Thursday night’s ALCS loss of the Houston Astros by the Boston Red Sox is going to sting for a little bit.

Repeating as World Series champs is a tall order. Not since the 1999 and 2000 New York Yankees has any team in the major league ever accomplished this feat. The Houston Astros certainly had all the components to do just that. Until lady luck smeared an ALCS loss in their faces

Thursday night’s defeat by the now American League Champion, Boston Red Sox quickly put the hopes of a back to back championship reign to a screeching halt with a 4-1 victory over the spacemen in Game 5.
