#7 Astros Score Nine Eighth-Inning Runs vs. the Angels

I’ll admit this deserves to be higher on the list. But the way this is going, you can tell there is a segway on each page. So the Angels fans’ are an indication of what’s to come for here. Plus, this happened recently and I really want to put this higher. Yet the moments that are coming are making this difficult.

So the Astros were ahead 1-0 against the Angels in a game they had to win to keep ahead by 3.5 against the Oakland A’s. At first, it looked like a typical Justin Verlander start and a Houston Astros 1-0 win.

But Hector Rondon continued his recent struggles and the Angels pull ahead 5-1 in the top of the eighth inning. We all know the Astros can comeback but with the way the inning went before, how would that be possible? It just felt like the A’s would cut the lead to 2.5 after a loss. But then again, this team can come back and win, right?

It’s amazing how this team always seems to be able to come back and win. The Astros picked up a couple of key base hits from Marwin Gonzalez and Brian McCann. Plus Gattis contributed a run-scoring single. Then after hitting a foul ball, Tyler White reaches base on an error on the double play.

The Astros then suddenly have the lead. Springer connected for two more runs before Altuve went yard to seal the deal. Houston was able to keep their 3.5 game lead while the A’s have to sit in the Bay Area and wonder how can the Astros pull off a miracle like that? Well A’s, you don’t have far to look. Maybe your neighbor can solve your problem.
