The 2018 regular season is drawing to a close and the Houston Astros have won the AL West. This season has been challenging and grueling but it has brought several very enjoyable moments, let’s take a look.

How can you not love the Houston Astros? Unless you are a salty, insecure, no-knowledge fan who wants nothing more than the Astros to go back to 100-loss seasons, you have no right to dislike this team.

But seriously folks, the Astros have continued to amaze despite a challenging season. The team knew that since they were the defending World Series champions they’d be under a microscope all season. It was also expected that the division to get better and teams to bring their A-game against the team, which they did.

Injuries, loose cannons, and a controversial trade could’ve ruined the chemistry of this team. But to this point, this team has passed the test with flying colors. Now they must get ready for another grueling October.

Must Read. Two biggest X-Factors for the postseason run. light

But before that happens, it’s time to reflect on what has truly been another successful season. Maybe it wasn’t as miraculous as 2018. But it sure has made this team a dangerous threat for the postseason. Still, fans can only sit back and smile at what transpired this season.

Honorable Mention

This is a top 10 list of 2018 moments. But that doesn’t mean we can’t reflect on the other great moments of the year. From George Springer, Alex Bregman, and Jose Altuve going back-to-back-to-back to key the Houston Astros win over Tampa Bay Rays. To Springer notching six hits vs. Oakland.

There was also the time Altuve collected 10 hits in a row. Justin Verlander also reached the 2,500 strikeout mark and picked up career win number 200. Recently, Yuli Gurriel and his brother became first brothers to hit two-homer games on the same day. There was also the time Evan Gattis became the first Astro to have two straight five RBI games.

Remember when the Astros had a walk-off win on a balk call? Yeah, that was awesome. Framber Valdez also pitched wonderfully and won his MLB Debut.  Of course, scoring six runs the 10th innings against the Rockies to win the game can’t be forgotten either.

One can look at these moments and think at least one or two of them deserve to be in the top 10. As always, this was not an easy decision to make this list. But you can understand why the ones that did make the top 10 are deserving to be on the list. So without further ado, let’s count down the top 10 moments of the 2018 regular season.
