The Houston Texans have a tricky situation on their hands with Jadeveon Clowney. What’s going on? Here are three reasons why he should be traded now. Look.

The Houston Texans are staring down the barrel of a 0-3 start and a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season’s horrific 4-12 finish.  Just like last season, things were so promising at the start but fan’s hopes were quickly dashed after realizing that this team isn’t quite up to snuff when it comes to competing with the absolute best in the NFL.

Because of the immense amount of parity in this league, there is still some breathing room for the Houston Texans to get out of this funk and to make something of this season.  But in each of these past three games, the same mistakes that have continued to plague this team somehow find a way to resurface time and again.

On top of that, after the Houston Texans making strong signals that they wanted to extend Jadeveon Clowney‘s contract this off season, the franchise has backtracked and decided to move on with things.  I’m positive that this has ruffled the feathers of Clowney and his representation camp.  His agent is Bus Cook, a powerful sports agency — BC Sports — that negotiated contracts for guys like Brett Favre and Cam Newton.  In fact, Cook was the pioneer of putting together a $100 million contract, which is now more of the norm for cornerstone-type players.

But we must ask ourselves if Clowney warrants that type of status as a player and if he deserves to get paid that amount of money?

Obviously, I think he does but with some many other problems the Houston Texans have right now and with the franchise unwilling to lock him in at this moment, the time has come to trade him now so that they get the best haul possible for the budding star.

Here are THREE REASONS as to why Clowney must be traded now so let’s examine further.
