The Houston Texans are 0-2 and fans are concerned. Of course, 0-2 isn’t the end of the world, but there is a sense of urgency that must be employed now.

With the Houston Texans facing a 0-2 start, the chances of making the playoffs appear to be slim. What was once expected to be a bounce-back season already has fans concerned over the future of the team. Yet, as has been evident in the past, being 0-2 doesn’t always mean no trip to the playoffs.

I’m frustrated! You’re frustrated! We’re all frustrated. The Texans should’ve won this game. They should’be beaten the Titans today. Yet, we shot ourselves in the foot and all of the sudden, we’re facing a 0-2 record.

Now you might be thinking to yourselves, the Texans are 0-2 and our season’s over and we, as fans, are about to endure another heartbreaking year as we probably expect it to be. It might seem that way. But here’s where we have to step aside for a moment and calm down to relax.

How Can We?

You’re saying the Texans 0-2 after losing to a Titans’ team that doesn’t have Marcus Mariota as the starter. We just lost a game where Bill O’Brien continues to frustrate us with play-calling while holding Deshaun Watson back.

Watson took so long to hold on to the ball wasting time before firing a pass with no timeouts left. Of course, the penalties hurt the Texans, including a taunting penalty from a guy that didn’t even suit up.

So the season’s over, right? Not necessarily! It’s time we take a look at some history to get an understanding of being 0-2 in the NFL.

Before We Get Started!

Understand that I’m not writing this as a way to cover my own frustrations by saying I’m confident about us turning it around. I was angry and pissed off about the way the game ended to where I decided to express them to my brother.

I was wrong for letting my anger get me to where I said we weren’t good enough to win it all to him and I apologize for that. I guess when you’re a Texans’ fan, hope and expectations can break your heart every season. But I also realized that two games into the season don’t determine how the rest of your season plays out.
