Player #3: Jurrell Casey

Yes, there’s no way I could fill out this list without mentioning Mr. Jurrell Casey‘s name.  He has typically applied tremendous pressure on the Houston Texans whenever these two teams have matched up.  There’s no doubt that he’ll be gunning for Watson but the most important thing is if Casey can keep up with Watson?

When these two teams met back Oct. 1 last season, Watson led the charge of the highest-

scoring game in Texans‘ history and Casey was still able to effectively get to Watson, getting one sack off of him.

These two will match up again and I think we’ll all be in for a great treat.  Out of the defensive line, I haven’t seen anybody command as much in terms of the pressure as Casey. He always seems to find his man and as I mentioned about Orakpo, Rankin and Kelemete will have their hands full with these two vets going to work against the Texans‘ offensive line.

He had two pressures — one quarterback hit and one hurry — along with a 70.2 pass rush grade from PFF last week against the Dolphins.  No other Titans’ defender had more pressures or a higher grade than he.  PFF also has Casey among the Titans’ top three pass rushers since the 2015 season so to say this man doesn’t deserve attention or a double-team would be asinine.

Although I’ve praised Casey quite much in regard to his play, he’s not elite but I think he’s just a tier below that in the hall of very good.  The reason why I’m listing him in this post is because he somehow emerges to that elite status when he plays the Texans.

J.J. Watt will be an important guy to watch but I implore you all to keep an eye on another No. 99 out there on field as Casey’s going to be causing a lot of trouble for this team come Sunday.  Keep your eye out!
