Starter: James Harden
The reigning NBA MVP will likely be one of the best players in the league for a long, long time. His decline is definitely not starting this while he might, in fact, have an even better than the year he had in his MVP season.
Adding some snipers to this team will allow Harden to cut into the lane and do what he does and either get easy layups or a chance at the charity stripe. It will also allow Harden the opportunity to dish out more dimes and get back to above ten assists a game. With Harden running this team, the Rockets will be just fine.
Must Read. Chriss and Knight could be parlayed into a bigger deal. light
Reserves: Eric Gordon, Gerald Green, Rob Gray
Eric Gordon is a perennial sixth man of the year contender. He is underrated as a defender as he can lock down at least three positions. He is also a very good, high volume three-point shooter. Gordon helps this team tick and this year he has help off of the bench.
Gerald Green and Rob Gray are both hometown heroes. Green earned his place on this team last year and he provides a ton of energy and great offensives bursts for this team. Gray was a deadly scorer at the University of Houston and having that potential off of the bench could be key down the stretch and in the face of potential injuries.
