The Houston Rockets have made quite a few changes to the Western Conference Finals roster. Let’s take a look at how the new depth chart might shake out.

The NBA is less than two weeks away from the start of the NBA Training Camp. It won’t be the first time that we have seen this new Houston Rockets team together but, it will be the first time we’ve seen them on the court together.

James Harden pioneered a team bonding vacation to the Bahamas last week. This, hopefully, allowed the team to begin to build chemistry together and build relationships off the court so they can be more successful on the court.

This is especially important for the guys who are just joining the team. Unfortunately, the newest Rockets, Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss, were unable to make the trip but, they should get caught up in no time.

The Rockets currently have a 43% turnover rate for this year’s roster compared to last year’s. That means that of the 16 bodies they’re planning on coming into camp, 7 of them are new to the organization. That’s a pretty large rate for a contender.

However, the starting roster should stay about the same as it was during the Western Conference Finals. Four of the starters will return to the starting line up but the bench is where the rotation gets a nearly brand new look.

So, let’s get into how the starting line up will shake out and how the rotation behind them will follow. But, before we do, one of the 16 guys in training camp won’t make it to the regular season. I believe it will be second-round draft pick Vince Edwards due to the plethora of forwards.
