Players returning from injury are coming back with a vengeance

Who knows how last season would have turned out had a bunch of the Houston Texans players not get injured. It’s probably safe to say that they would’ve won more than four games but, it’s impossible to say where they would have ended up.

One thing is sure, after all of that, the players that were injured and missed significant time last year are healthy and ready to come back with a vengeance. Watson played an incredible game last time he played the Patriots as a rookie, he had 301 yards and two touchdowns. It was really the game that catapulted him into greatness.

JJ Watt is back and more than 100% after missing 24 games the past two years. Whitney Mercilus is finally fully healthy after tearing a pectoral muscle last year and dealing with a bum hamstring in camp. Christian Covington and DJ Reader are both back after going down later in the year. D’Onta Foreman is the only player who is yet to come back from injury.

All of these guys are rearing to get back on the field and to wreck shop on some dudes. All of these guys didn’t play very much in the preseason in an effort to make sure they stayed healthy for the regular season.

Keep an extra eye out for all of these guys and watch what they can do. They’ll likely pop out early and often and will impress against the Patriots. If I’m right and they do, the Texans won’t have any problem taking care of business at Gilette Stadium.
