The Houston Texans are a week away from kicking off the regular season. Take a look at House of Houston’s predictions for the Texans regular season awards.

Exactly one week from today, the Houston Texans will face off against the New England Patriots to kick off the 2018 regular season. Bill Belichick will matchup against one of his former pupils in Bill O’Brien. Tom Brady squaring off against Deshaun Watson for the second time will be must watch tv.

Watson nearly stole a game away from the Patriots when these two teams faced off last season. Watson tossed over 300 yards and added over 40 more on the ground. But, the Patriots held on for a 36-33 victory. Hopefully, this year’s matchup will fair better.

The 2018-19 season has got us, here at House of Houston, pumped up! The Houston Texans are nearly 100% healthy after battling a myriad of injuries on both sides of the ball last year. Watson is looking to build off of a phenomenal, yet short season. JJ Watt is ready and rearing to jump back into things after two lost years of injury.

So, in order to channel our excitement into something productive we decided to make predictions on various awards for this Houston Texans team. So, our two editors, Brian Patterson and T.A. Mock, teamed up with four of our writers, Armani Gracia, Stephen Whitaker, Brian Lamb, and David Graf, to vote on who should win what award. We also did a poll on our Facebook and Twitter to help cast votes for one of the awards.

The awards being voted on are as follows: Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, Least Valuable Player, Game of the Year, Final Record, and Most Valuable Player.

So, without further adieu, let’s get to the awards!
