Houston Texans: 5 players on the bubble that need to make the roster

Treston Decoud, S
The Houston Texans selected Treston Decoud in the fifth round out of Oregon State in the 2017 draft. He was a cornerback for the Beavers and collected some really impressive game tape for them. Some concerns due to athleticism allowed him to fall to the fifth.
Decoud played sparingly last year at corner for the Texans as injuries piled on. He did perform particularly well and questions about his athleticism gained steam again. So, this offseason, in an effort to improve the safety position, the Texans moved Decoud to safety.
He’ll team up with the newly added Tyrann Mathieu, draftee Justin Reid, Moore, and fellow corner convert Kareem Jackson. Decoud projects better as a safety than he did at corner. He’ll be able to react from afar and then run downhill to the ball.
You don’t move a guy to a different position without a plan. Decoud has executed on that plan very well so far and he’ll look provide solid depth at safety. He also has some added bonus as he can still play corner in a pinch.
