JD Davis, 1B/3B

JD Davis has been a pretty productive player for the Houston Astros this year. He’s helped plug holes at first and third when the team has needed them to be plugged. Davis’ bat has not been as consistent or powerful as it is in the minors but, he’s had some clutch ABs when the team needed them.

Davis provides adept defense at third base and does a decent job at first. His versatility helps maximize the Astros versatility. Davis could allow Hinch to play chess with his defense and really the entire team. Whether it be with the starting line up, pinch hitters or defensive subs.

Reymin Guduan, LHP

Reymin Guduan has a cannon for an arm out of the bullpen. He had one call-up earlier this year but his child was born shortly after and by the time he came back from paternity leave, he had to be sent back down.

Guduan averages a 96 MPH fastball that can climb to the upper 90s when he’s really amped. He also possesses a plus slider to switch it up with his slider. He would be a huge boost to this bullpen down the stretch.
