Starters: Benardrick McKinney, Zach Cunningham
This may be my favorite position on the team. McKinney just signed a very much deserved and earned contract extension. He was a productive player before for the Texans but last year he took the step and became the quarterback of the defense.
Cunningham is an up and comer in this league. He had a tremendous rookie season and will take the next step this year. Cunningham and McKinney are very similar players. They both possess sideline to sideline ability and have just about everything you want in inside linebackers.
Also. Realistic expectations for the Texans. light
Reserves: Dylan Cole, Brian Peters, Josh Keyes
Cole is a tremendous player. It remains a mystery that he was an undrafted free agent last year but, the Texans are better for it. He provides very excellent depth for this team and should be one of the first guys off the bench for this team.
Peters and Keyes are terrific special teams players and that is the main reason they make this roster. They both have decent ability at the inside linebacker spot and can provide some snaps in a pinch.
