Starters: Johnathan Joseph, Aaron Colvin

Joseph is back for another season with the Houston Texans. He has been a tremendous player for this team for a very long time. He still plays at an above average clip but, he’s no longer than lock-down guy anymore. His leadership will be key for these young players.

Colvin will hopefully take over the role as the team’s number one corner. He has the size to do so but, he’s played the majority of his career in the slot. But, the Jags had to phenomenal dudes on the outside so, we’ll see what he’s got.

Reserves: Kevin Johnson, Dee Virgin, Andre Chachere

The reserves may look a little different come week one but, for now, this is what we’ll go with. Johnson is currently dealing with a concussion that he suffered against the 49ers. So, his status for week one is slightly in question.

Virgin and Chachere have both played well in the preseason. They have both made great plays and have both had a couple duds in pass coverage. They are higher upside guys that other players currently on the roster. Both could develop into pretty decent complimentary pieces.

The team could also look to play the waiver wire as other teams make cuts. It’ll be interesting to see how this position plays out. This is the weakest position group on the defense and is just above the offensive line for worst on the team.
