The Houston Texans are 2-0 in the preseason and there are only a couple more week until the season starts. Let’s take a look at who will make the final, 53 man roster.

It is extremely safe to say that the Houston Texans 2017 season was a disappointment. It began with such promise. JJ Watt was back from a devasting back injury. The Texans appeared to finally have a true franchise quarterback in Deshaun Watson. Then, everything hit the fan and things went downhill almost as fast as they started.

The Texans ended last season with a 4-12 record. This was the team’s worst record since 2013, the year that would allow Bill O’Brien to become the Texans head coach. The other three years of the BOB era saw the team go 9-7 every season. So, after three average seasons, O’Brien was officially on the hot seat.

However, the Texans brass had faith in O’Brien after a season that was lost to countless injuries. Whitney Mercilus, Watt, and Watson were all lost to injury plus many, many more players. In any case, this isn’t your typical 4-12 team. This is a team that is much more talented.

The team is returning a lot of the same players as last year plus adding some guys in key positions like cornerback and safety in Aaron Colvin and Tyrann Mathieu. The team also had a rather impressive draft haul in spite of not having a first and second round pick from revamping the quarterback position last year.

There are a lot of positions that are 100% settled with no drama. However, there are a few that still have some drama and competing left to do. So, without further adieu, let’s get to predicting the final, 53 man roster.
