The Bottom Line

These, in my opinion, are the most important match ups that you want to see for this upcoming season.  I’m sure you all are saying “Hey Brian, you forgot about the Thunder on Christmas Day

More from House of Houston

and when the Lakers come to town Dec. 13th?!?”  And let me tell you, I didn’t forget but I don’t think they carry as much weight.

I don’t want to hear about the “Melo is facing his former team” type story lines because quite honestly, he was there just ONE SEASON.  There’s no luster to that, absolutely none.  I’d rather just watch Russell Westbrook and James Harden go at it which will be what we all want to watch at the end of the day.  It’ll be a nice match up that was appropriately scheduled in the afternoon but that’s as far as I’m going with it.

LeBron will be coming to Toyota Center Dec. 13.  I’d definitely say mark your calendars but our home crowd isn’t necessarily the advantage that you may think.  There’s plenty of distractions in H-Town and if you’re winning, attention will be given but I don’t think I’ll see the level of energy as this was uhhhhh…the Western Conference Finals.

Rockets‘ fans in the crowd get into it WHEN IT COUNTS and with this game being in mid-December, I don’t think it will.  The Houston Texans will be close to wrapping up their season so with this being a football-first town, more attention will shifted to that.

Next. Three reasons why the Melo and D'Antoni sequel will be better. dark

All in all, I’m just excited for Houston Rockets basketball to start and hopefully Daryl Morey can figure out a way to trade Ryan Anderson for Kent Bazemore to push us over the top for utter dominance.  You read what I wrote and I didn’t mince any of my words.

Do you agree?  Go ahead and have some fun and let me know what you think in the comments section below.
