No. 3: Dec. 27th: Boston Celtics vs. Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are going up against truly the best team in the Eastern Conference RIGHT NOW.  I don’t care if the Toronto Raptors were able to acquire Kawhi Leonard, with the Boston Celtics getting Kyrie Irving and Gordon Heyward back in the fold, this team will be even more difficult to stop.

It’s already nothing short of amazing that this team was able to overachieve without two of their biggest stars so think about what’s in store once we face this team for the first time this season at home, just after the Christmas holiday?  The Houston Rockets will be at home this year for that span with is for three-game stretch from Dec. 22-27.

Nobody does it better than Brad Stevens than getting the most out of his players and I’m afraid this match up will be one of the toughest the Houston Rockets will have this season at this point.  They’ll just have finished up two previous home games against the San Antonio Spurs (Dec. 22) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (Dec. 25) before this game so it’ll be intriguing to see how fresh those old legs will be by the time they take on the C’s.

The Houston Rockets opponent will have an excellent supporting cast with Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Marcus Morris, Terry Rozier and the highly-underrated Aron Baynes to fill out their roster.  Who will be their mystery man this year that will surprise?  It was Rozier last season but with the team signing veteran center Greg Monroe, it’s a mixed bag on how D’Antoni is going to draw up plays against the No. 1 team in defensive efficiency last season, allowing just a paltry 101.5 per 100.
