Lineup #1: And here are your starters…

Who I’d like to see: Paul, Harden, Ennis, Tucker, Capela

This lineup would be fantastic for the team in general. The Rockets would still have four known defensive players in their starting lineup, even Harden plays it well at times.

Best part is that the bench would be a problem of its own. Imagine that lineup with a bench of Paul/Harden, Eric Gordon, Gerald Green, Anthony and Nene.  I refer to Paul/Harden in a possible bench idea, to which I’ll explain later in this piece.

I’d be as scared of that bench as I am of the starting lineup.

Now Anthony has stated that he would not come off the bench. I highly recommend you click this link and I doubt his stance has changed since this day.

With Anthony demanding such a big role on the team and the other starters having proved themselves in the lineup, here is the best assembly of what will most likely occur.  Melo will likely get what he asks for, as one would not want to start off a season on a sour note with a guy like Anthony on the roster.

While I will admit, this lineup has less defense than I would hope to see. But the offense is something to definitely fear of, so it would be interesting to see if this lineup can have fast starts with the rest of the team capitalizing.

Expected Lineup: Paul, Harden, Tucker, Anthony, Capela
