Houston Texans: Top three intriguing prospects heading into the season
By T.A. Mock
The Houston Texans have quite a few young, intriguing prospects. Developing them is the key to a successful team. Let’s take a look at the three most intriguing prospects.
The Houston Texans training camp at the Greenbrier in West Virginia is well underway. The team has completed nine practices and the players are settling in and getting their groove together. Bill O’Brien has also had a lot of good things to say about this squad.
The offense is developing a rhythm under their first full year with Deshaun Watson. The defense is getting back together after an injury-plagued season. The new additions, free agents and draftees, have been working their tails off and are fitting in well.
While it is still training camp, early reports are sounding very good. Watson’s knee looks 100% healthy. JJ Watt looks back to his normal self. Receivers are making all kinds of catches. Defenders are making the correct reads and streaking to the ball. Things are looking good.
The Houston Texans will suit up for their first preseason game against the Chiefs in less than one week. It’ll be good to see a lot of veterans return to the field after injuries. Watson and Watt being the biggest two. It’ll also be good to see additions like Tyrann Mathieu, Aaron Colvin, Keke Coutee, and Justin Reid hit the field in a Houston Texans uniform.
But, the preseason is more for the unheralded. The Texans have three guys I’m especially excited to see to examine their development and potential impact. These guys have caught the attention of many for their work this offseason and have a shot to make an impact this year. Let’s take a look at these three guys.
