Houston Astros: World Series Rematch Dodgers is Bound for Greatness
What To Expect?
While the Dodgers and their fans might be sick and tired of being reminded about the Houston Astros World Series victory, they will have the benefit of the doubt knowing that the Astros won’t be 100% with Altuve missing two games while Correa is rehabbing in the minor leagues. So pretty much, they’ll probably want to garner revenge by winning the series.
Friday’s game will see Justin Verlander take the ball for the Astros. The Dodgers had success against Verlander although it was three big hits and a sacrifice fly in the two games that resulted in Verlander going 0-1 in the World Series.

Lance McCullers Jr. will go for Saturday. McCullers won game three against the Dodgers but wasn’t able to go through three innings in game seven after hitting four batters.
Then Gerrit Cole will round out the series finale. Being a pitcher from the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cole is familiar with the Dodgers. In six starts, Cole is 3-1 with a 5.55 ERA in 35.2 innings pitched. Of the Dodgers roster, only three players have a .300 batting average or higher per seven at-bats.
The Dodgers have yet to release their rotation for the series. But one thing I know is that Clayton Kershaw won’t be starting because he’s pitching Thursday against Milwaukee. So we’ll be denied the ultimate matchup between Kershaw and Verlander on Friday.
It’ll be interesting to see Machado and Dozier as Dodgers while we will look to quiet the crowd and maybe push their NL West standing down a bit. But hey, even if the Dodgers win the series, just show them the ring and remind them who won.
It’s going to be a great series between two teams that earned each other’s respect from the World Series. Who knows? 2018 might be a rematch of the 2017 World Series. But all the while, let’s enjoy this series and get ready for August baseball.
