Since Then

Since then, things have gone pretty well for both teams. Despite an early struggle, the Dodgers are finding themselves in contention for another NL West title. The trades for Manny Machado and Brian Dozier certainly puts them in the forefront in the National League, which is right now about to be the more competitive league despite the three best teams being in the American League.

Meanwhile, life for the Astros has gone well despite the recent struggles and acquisitions. Obviously, the Astros are dealing with injuries with the loss of Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa. But some good news is on the horizon as Correa is going to a rehab assignment while Altuve is expected back in the lineup by Sunday. The Astros are five games ahead of Seattle and Oakland right now. So we might be in for a tough stretch. But we welcome the challenge in our quest to repeat.

Trending. Three reasons why acquiring Osuna was crucial. light

As far as the two teams are against each other, Houston leads 5.5-3 in the series with an asterisk mark. How is that possible? Well, game eight saw the Astros beat the Dodgers 8-6 in 10 innings. Of course, it was the MLB All-Star Game where AJ Hinch guided the American League to a win over Dave Roberts’ NL squad.

The heroes were All-Star Game MVP Alex Bregman and George Springer, who homered off Dodger pitcher Ross Stripling in the 10th. Poor Ross! I feel bad for him for he keeps getting bad luck against Houston.

What about the half-win? Well, we did win an ESPY in Los Angeles for Best Team.
