Dream 5: Houston Texans win the division and return to the playoffs

If dreams one through four come to fruition, either partially or fully, then this dream is easy. This division has the potential to be one of the toughest in the league this year but, it’s also very winnable.

Sure, the Colts have Andrew Luck back, the Jaguars were a couple drives away from beating the Patriots, and the Titans are very similar to the Texans. But, none of these three teams have the amount of talent across the board that the Houston Texans have.

A return to the playoffs is not a far-fetched dream by any means. It is well within reach as this team is set up to be a contender for years to come.

Nightmare 5: A sub .500 season brings major changes

A sub .500 season likely means the end of Bill O’Brien. He has yet to reach the double-digit win plateau in a season. The 4-12 season placed him firmly on the hot seat. Health was the primary reason for that season, which is why he likely still has a job.

If he cannot get this team to rally to an above .500 record he likely is gone. The snowball effect will then run on from there. Fortunately, he was just signed to a five-year extension. He has been a good coach for this team and this year should produce far better results than last years. But, anything can happen…
