The clock has struck midnight on the Trade Deadline, and the Houston Astros remained fairly quiet. Here is a look at what the team has now.

There was not a whole lot of needs at the Trade Deadline for the Houston Astros lately. Even with the recent 5 game slump, the spacemen are still on pace for another 100 win season. Lest we forget, a late July sweep at home by the Chicago White Sox still wasn’t enough to stop the team from winning it all.

Nevertheless, the absence of Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa have complicated things with the bats. Additionally, Kyle Tucker has yet to translate his worth to the big league stage. This brought into question as to which players would be acquired.

Would the team chase after an impact, late-inning arm to bolster the bullpen? What about a big bat to place in the outfield or to platoon at first base or DH? These were the questions that all the fans wanted to know.

Also. Playing Gurriel at 2B likely won't work. light

Now, we have the answer. The Houston Astros acquired three players at the deadline. That’s one more than last year’s deadline as Justin Verlander was acquired in August. None of the three were linked too often to the team prior to the actual acquisitions. Let’s take a look at the report card for the team coming off of the trade deadline.
