On Monday the Houston Astros pushed their winning streak to 12 in a row after sweeping their 10-game-road trip. They also got their first win over the Kansas City Royals in three tries on Father’s Day. The win moved the Astros to 149-140 all-time on May-July holidays.

The Houston Astros are also 4-0 in the holidays of May and June with the Fourth of July still to come. On Independence Day they will be on the road at Arlington. So, this got me thinking about which summer holiday is the Houston Astros best and worst?

Based on the history the Astros have done their best on Mother’s Day. Since their first Mother’s Day in 1962 the Astros have won 34 and lost 28 of the games played on the second Sunday in may.

The second best holiday for the Astros is Flag Day. Houston has honored Old Glory’s birthday by going 32-19 on June 14.

Houston’s worst holiday is Father’s Day. Even with the win over Kansas City the Astros are 29-32 on Father’s Day since 1962. A close second is the Fourth of July with the Astros sporting a 29-31 record.

So, without further adieu, let’s dive into this.
