Reason #1: Solidifying a legacy

Now, I know I stated that I will mention why Houston is a good city but do let me tell the basketball side of it as well. There is a reason why LeBron James isn’t looking at the Brooklyn Nets or the Phoenix Suns.

I’m going to pretend the Lakers had a good year; yes, they are after Kawhi Leonard with their fantastic legacy and they have that bright future.  But their market is just too attractive for any free agent, even if they were to go 0-82.

However, I’m not here to discuss why Houston is the best option but rather why it shouldn’t be considered as an “unfavorable” city.

If it wasn’t obvious yet, the Rockets have a pretty dang good basketball team at the moment. They broke the franchise record with 65 wins and were able to completely defy the claim that two ball dominant guards on one team wouldn’t work. If wasn’t for 27 straight missed threes along with the tragedy of an injury of Chris Paul, you could argue that the Rockets could’ve been hosting a championship parade.

But I’m going to get straight to the damn point. You can make as many but’s and if’s and pity excuses as you want but newsflash my guy, we didn’t win.

Well, no crap Sherlock. It’s why I’m wasting my precious time reading this article.

Nothing is going to change that, and to be frank with you, I completely refuse to believe that the team we have right now can make another run to the Western Conference Finals with home court advantage against the Golden State Warriors. May I remind you that the Warriors are not only in the run for the King but they are attempting to make a trade for Anthony Davis WHILE KEEPING THEIR CORE OF FOUR ALL-STARS INTACT.

“But that isn’t fair.”

Well life isn’t fair my dude.

If the Rockets want to win, they need to make a move, and they need to make it fast or there’s going to be plenty of bowls of tears this off season as well as 2018-19 season itself.

We need the King. We need the man that at this point must have some vengeance against Golden State.

And dare I say it, the King needs us too.

"“Pfft, that’s crazy. The King can win with anybody that can provide support. Cleveland didn’t even give him a dead horse and they still made the finals. He’s the GOAT.” – quote by a random guy who thinks that LeBron shouldn’t go to Houston.  And just to let ya’ll know, I made it up."

That’s what LeBron James is tired of. He says he wants to play more off-ball in the future.

If that isn’t screaming the Rockets, I don’t know what will.

In my mind, one of the “greatest” critiques of LeBron James is that he can’t do it through the West. His entire career has been through the Eastern Conference.  Over the past decade at least, the Western Conference looks to be by far the tougher conference to get through.

What better way to shut those critics up and boost his legacy than to come to the Rockets and beat the talent-filled…somehow cheated the cap room system team in the Warriors?  They can also be known as the NBA team the world hates and wants the karma formed from their super team to come and whoop them right back.
