Deshaun Watson is preparing to enter his second season under center as the Houston Texans quarterback. However, his recovery from an ACL tear will have every eye in the NFL on him.

When you see the pictures of a quarterback for the Houston Texans wearing number four in red, there’s a feeling of anticipation. You see a picture of this particular individual taking snaps and throwing the pigskin without a knee brace after a serious injury, you know how big it’s going to be. When someone questions the ability of this player, you see a tweet in return showing confidence: cool and collected. If all of these things apply to you and Watson, it’s a match made in heaven.

As we begin the transition into the upcoming 2018 season, Houston Texans fans have a reason to be excited. Even though we finished last season with a disastrous 4-12 year, we got a glimpse of a team that is capable of bringing home a Lombardi trophy. The defense continues to dominate even with the major injuries suffered from JJ Watt and Whitney Mercilus. But what’s even better is that our offense got to show off their explosiveness with some talented receivers and running backs. But, the best news of all, we got a quarterback who can play.

So yes Houston Texans fans, we have a reason to be excited. After years of wondering if we can actually make some noise in the future, the answer is yes. While we might not make the Super Bowl this year, there’s a chance we’ll get closer. However, there is a concern among us that can lead to questions about what might have been.
