I hate to say it, but the Houston Texans have been unable to reach expectations that have seemed higher than a man jacked up on mountain dew in the last few years, it’s that simple. Whether it was just struggles or the injury bug, something has gotten to us that just make us fans say “Oh Lord” at the end of the year at that final game. It’s time to examine this further.

Houston Texans fans — let’s flashback shall we?

Two years ago, the Houston Texans thought they had been the winners of the off season. They made a lot of noise in free agency when they signed future bust Brock Osweiler to a contract of money bags and he for sure had that $72 million smile. In the same cut, the Houston Texans believed they improved our offensive line with Jeff Allen.  Moreover, they thought they could make Lamar Miller one of the most explosive backs in the league, making us believe that this offense could light it up as a whole.

Well that ship sailed.

Other than a quick comeback versus the below-average Colts’ defense, Osweiler had nothing to show that he could start as a quarterback in the NFL. He had horrid numbers of a 59 percent  completion rate, 2,957 yards passing, 15 touchdown passes to 16 interceptions (yikes) and a underwhelming QBR of a 72.2.
