WHATCHA TALKING ABOUT DUDE?!

I think I should clarify that when I say family feud, I don’t mean there’s a family feud. What I mean to say is that tonight, it’s going to be a special occasion for the Houston Astros and starting pitcher Gerrit Cole.

Cole is going to be the starter and he will be facing off against a San Francisco Giants lineup that features Buster Posey, Brandon Belt, and our former Astro Hunter Pence. But there is one Giants’ player that Cole will be taking on in the lineup that has special meaning for him. That Giants’ player is shortstop Brandon Crawford.

Why is it such a big deal for Cole? Well aside from the fact that Crawford is a two-time World Series champion with the Giants while Cole has yet to get a ring, Crawford played his college baseball at UCLA, which just happened to be the alma mater of Cole.

But it gets more interesting. On the very first day of college, Cole met a beautiful young lady named Amy, who is now his wife. It turns out that Amy’s brother happens to be Brandon Crawford. So in conclusion…

Gerrit Cole is facing off against his brother-in-law.
