Houston Astros: Trevor Bauer accusations will pose a major problem
Theories
There are a few theories that I believe would make him want to say what he said earlier.
Seems like two and three might be off-the-wall here. One is probably the most logical because Bauer was denied the glue. It cost him a chance to go deep into a critical game, which Cleveland won by the way. So perhaps there could be a bias reasoning on MLB’s part.
- There is no denying that our rotation has been awesome. If you took a look at the Houston Astros pitchers’ spin rates. They are much improved and quicker than the ones before. However, pine tar is a supplement that can do that. So Bauer possibly feels that since he wasn’t allowed the glue needed to help his wound, no one else should get that same privilege.
- The Houston Astros are in first place right now. The rotation is possibly the best, in the league. Which, this might make for a jealous Bauer, who feels that Cleveland has a top rotation, which they do. But perhaps something he saw on TV about the Astros rotation just made him lose it and accuse.
- Two seasons ago, Bauer was one win shy of winning a World Series before the Cubs rallied to “steal” all three games to win it all. The Astros won a World Series last year and have a ring, which he has yet to achieve in his career. Add in the idea the Astros can win it again with a powerful rotation, Bauer believes he must stop the Astros from repeating. But how? Simple, come up with an accusation.
I don’t know the real reason. If anyone does, feel free to comment below.
