The Houston Astros Week 4 Recap contains quite the road series for the team. Now, they face a tough challenge that is awaiting them back home.

Seattle and Chicago are unusually cold this time of year. But for the spacemen, it was the perfect opportunity for the bats and pitching to simultaneously heat up. Along with twists and turns, here now is the Houston Astros Week 4 Recap!

World Domination

The starting rotation set a new record for the number of strikeouts through the first 23 games. Once held by the 1968 Cleveland Indians at 168, the 2018 Houston Astros now have 175. Additionally, the starter’s ERA through as many games is second only to the 1997 team that had a 1.10 ERA in that same stretch.

Not to be outdone, the relievers have been keeping the Astros in these games as well. They have a collective ERA of 2.49 and WHIP of 1.08. This puts them third in the league in both categories. In fact, the Astros relievers are only behind the Cleveland Indians and Arizona Diamondback as far as these two stats are concerned.

I certainly don’t want to be an opposing team having to face these fellas in the batter’s box right now! Especially, since the overall team ERA now leads the league, surpassing the fiery Boston Red Sox.
