8. Freedom by Richie Havens

Minute Maid Park would not be the same without Gattis’ walk-up song. When Freedom and that smooth guitar by Havens start booming throughout the stadium you can’t help but get hyped for the Bear.

This walk-up song, more than most, fits the player extremely well. The slow vibes flashback to Havens performances at Woodstock. Gattis is an original and this song fits that persona.

7. Chillax by Farruko Ft. Ky-Mani Marley

Marwin Gonzalez, a.k.a. the Venezuelan army knife picked this Latin pop for his walk up. It’s his second walk-up of the year. Chillax is upbeat, funky and gets you off of your feet. Marley brings a reggae vibe to it as well.

Baseball is a sport of superstitions, I’m not sure how superstitious Marwin is but his slump may trigger it. We may be seeing a new walk-up song from him soon if his bat doesn’t wake up. Whatever works for him as long as it’s as vibin’ as Chillax.
