Laughter is Good for the Soul

Think about it, we were so bad that our best highlight was when Jonathan Villar slid into the behind of a defender. That was how bad we were. Was it tough to deal with back then? Oh yes! I hated it when we lost. But I didn’t know how soon we would win the championship. Ask me in 2013 how I would feel if you told me the Houston Astros would win in 2017, there’s a good chance I would’ve called you crazy.

But I think it’s only fair to just shake our head and smile about this. It’s time we laugh about it and we should’ve laughed. But there’s a reason behind our laughs. When you look back on embarrassing moments, you laugh now than you probably would’ve at the moment back then. It’s ok to laugh at yourself. Here are a few examples of embarrassing moments of me that I’ll share.

While I was dressed up as an alien for a play, I couldn’t find the opening on the curtains and was on stage for longer than I should’ve been.

At my college graduation, just after I got my diploma, I tripped on stage. Better me than anyone else, right?
