The Houston Rockets are continuing to their incredible run to the playoffs and things could not be looking better. But while the team and the fans are still excited about this season, there seems to be trouble that is brewing up. It’s not a negative, but it might be talked about in years to come.

Oh, Houston Rockets fans, we got trouble right here in Clutch City with a capital T that rhymes with P and that stands for pool. We surely got trouble right here in Clutch City with a capital T, you got to rhyme it with P, and that stands for pool.

Okay! So I’m no music man and yet, you might known the reference. No, the trouble is not with the game of billiards or a swimming pool. But here’s the real trouble. Right now, our Houston Rockets are continuing their historic run as they have just reached the 60-win plateau for the first time in franchise history. To think that of all the years this organization has been around, not once have we won 60 games. That’s insane.

Ah yes! Life is good in Houston and we should be in for a run of epic proportions. But, we might need to consider that there are some things that might prevent us from having a true sense of destiny.

What Do You Mean?

Let’s put it this way. This is our best Houston Rockets team since the mid-1990s. Heck, this our best Rockets’ team ever. Talent-wise, coaching-wise, this is by far the best team ever. I’m talking about hall-of-famers in Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler and one soon-to-be hall-of-famer in Rudy Tomjanovich. I’m talking about two championship teams that should be recognized by everyone in the country historically and I’m throwing in the gauntlet by admitting that this is our best chance to win it all in years.

But, there are some things we do need to take into consideration. As a matter of fact, there are three things we should be wary of. These are things that we might not think about now, but assuming we do win it all, could be seen as our fifteen-seconds of fame on a daily basis.

The national media will always wonder what to make of us. Who cares if we got people that have basic minds in advanced courses up there. They got their opinions. But why not just dive into the three factors that could lead to another case of yeah but?

With all this in mind, let’s go to factor one.
