What if the refs had not called against the Rockets?

This is one of those scenarios you look back and say it doesn’t matter. At least we won two titles the next few years. But while 1994 and 1995 are the best years ever for the franchise, it was 1993 that was the stepping stone for Houston. Yet, when you look back at this series, you can also think the Rockets could’ve made a run for the finals.

These calls would prove costly against the Rockets in the seventh game against the Seattle Supersonics. Sure, the Rockets were on the rise, but there was a chance they could’ve moved on. But the Sonics would end up going to the next round while Houston left feeling good about next year.

So what if the Rockets had not been given bad calls?

My Ruling

Houston advances to take on Phoenix, where they could’ve given Charles Barkley and the top-seeded Suns a run for their money. Should the Rockets have beaten the Suns, they could’ve gotten the dream match up with Michael Jordan and the Bulls where we know the truth of what would happen.

Forget the Bulls three-peat. The Rockets would have a three-peat and become the team of the 90’s.
