Why does everyone else despise our swagger?

It seems that our recent swagger in Houston Sports has appeared to have annoyed even the fans of the most elite teams. We’re used to seeing teams of the Yankees, Patriots, Warriors, or any of Lebron’s teams have the swagger because they were winning. They were part of making the national ratings go up. Well all of the sudden, you got teams that aren’t accustomed to winning previously that have swagger. The Astros have it and so do the Eagles. Right now, the Rockets seem to have the swagger although we can’t put them in the same club just yet.

It’s annoying the media and every doubter out there that they have tried to put the nail in the

coffins that they realize the nails were wooden and not made of iron. This may only be a one-year thing or a consistent trend developing. With so many talks of competitive play being unfair, it’s only right that teams that used to be on the wrong side have the swagger because they win. Houston is a small sports media market. But if we keep this up, the market will be bigger than in Texas.

I’m no conspiracy theorist nor do I like them, but I do have a possible suggestion here. My theory is that Houston’s recent winning is putting the media under pressure. You would think they cover Houston during our worse days and not so on our better days. But with New York feeling heat from the Astros and Golden State’s era in jeopardy by the Rockets, anything is possible. All we need is for the Texans to have a winning season soon and life in Houston puts us at number one.

Conclusion

So at the end of the day, unless a movie about Houston is made correctly, people will still jab us and call us crazy. But we don’t care because their jabs are nothing but flesh wounds. Yet, even if they panic and start to crack under pressure of Houston’s success, they should eventually come around and look at us as a media darling.

For right now, we’re just going to reap the rewards. There may come a point, however, where we’ll be humbled. Let’s not be surprised if that happens though. But then again, let’s act like we have the winning attitude that we lacked for a decade now. Let’s show everyone that Houston is stronger than ever and let’s show everyone why we have the heart of a champion.

I’ve said this once and I’ve said this time and time again. It’s an annoying thing to say. But I’m saying it anyway. As far as everybody outside Houston is concerned….

They hate us so much that they actually like us?

Why is that?

It’s called swagger and Houston sports has that.
